Hurricanes and cyclones have caused extensive flooding of coastal cities and residential areas.  These storms have caused tens of thousands of human casualties, and billions of dollars of property damage in recent years.  Innovative solutions are needed in order to protect coastal land and cities from flood damage resulting from these massive storms.  This web site contains descriptions and preliminary drawings of structures and methods that may prevent hurricane-related floods.   

Large manufactured components are utilized, rather than extensive on-site construction.  Components can be mass produced by a large workforce, allowing for protection of large regions within a relatively short time period.  Internal canal wall reinforcement devices are also described.
